| Nerdly Beach Party September 2009

 | The Doomed Legion was invited to come to the bi-annual Nerdly Beach Party, a mini camping convention in the Big Sur area in which RPGs and storytelling abound. Shown here is camp Doomed Legion with flag fluttering overhead. In the end, only Nina and Joel were able to attend the event, but a presence was made.

 | The carpet was the best place in the campsite, as it was lit up like an 80s rock show.

 | The next day John, Milo, and Joel played Mouse Guard.

 | Meanwhile other things happened around the crowded campground. Including many, many other games that could not be shown.

 | The eating was always good. There was enough meat to bury a man.

 | A large group convened for an RPG called "Maid." It has just the right blend of enthusiasm, anime, and creepy lewd humor.

 | A few board games were finally played on Sunday. The deck building game Dominion shown here. Also note Prudence the pirate baby.

 | Everyone finally packed up and left in a parade of appropriately themed bumper stickers and vanity plates.
