| ConQuest SF 2008
 | Yes indeed good sirs and mams, we went to Conquest SF 2008. Some entered into the battle of Towton Warmaster game. The Lancastrians won! Fake snow got everywhere!
 | Firefight! rules system 10 man squad skirmish. The highlight of this game was the turn in which ten grenades were thrown at the same target.
 | Conquest SF is now in Santa Clara for the projected forever. The gaming hall is big, real big. Unfortunately it is located a quarter mile away from the actual hotel rooms, so bring your good walking shoes.
 | I got a chance to go out to the parking garage and see the R/C tank guys. They were messing around with their tanks in Plasticville. This club used infrared emitters to determine hits. Each tank can take a set number of hits and it shuts down.
 | Extreme Marine is back! Blood for Oil was new scenario, a raid on an oil rig. It went pretty good considering I didn't get a chance to do a full playtest.
 | It was fun enough, but the boat rules still have them moving pretty slow. If we can speed movement up we might be done in 4 hours instead of 5. I like my games to end on time.
 | Stan Stan the Aerodrome Man came back! He brought Aerodrome 2.0 with him! It's one hell of a great game. You tend to do well if you think ultra critically about your moves. You should hopefully leave this game with a mild headache ;).
 | Aerodrome took the place of B17, since Ron left the con this year. You can see here the final showdown with mutually assured destruction.
 | Power Grid is a clever game for clever people. Here it is.
 | Flagship Games' Pirates! A grand spectacle and fun game too. This game seemed to absorb the Pirates of the Caribbean movie theme. Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones made cameos.
 | This particular engagement, seemingly movie inspired, was actually a complete accident that resulted from several simultaneous blunders. My boat is the little one. I was just about to be cannon'd to death when Davy Jones suddenly rolled bad and was swallowed up by the malestrom. Yay accidental win!
 | Finished up with Empire Builder. This game is a really intense economic game, and requires quite a bit of forward thinking and spatial reasoning. I think we all need practice since everyone got thuroughly slaughtered by the man with experience. Very fun all the same. See you next time!
